
Barbier -Casanova: two pochoir plates by George Barbier (1921)
Set of two delicates pochoir plates from the album Casanova, by Georges Barbier. Barbier designed the costumes for Casanova, a play by Maurice Rostand that was performed at the Theatre des Bouffes-Parisiens in 1919. Two years later Lucien Vogel published a limited-edition album featuring 24 pochoir plates of Barbier's costumes for the play.
